An Aransas Pass man reeled in two tagged redfish during the CCA Texas STAR Tournament last week. 

Jeffery Hain caught a blue tag and a green tag redfish, possibly scoring himself a $750 Academy Sports + Outdoors gift card and a new 19-foot Shoalwater Cat, Mercury motor and McClain trailer package, the tournament posted on Facebook. 

Hain took his kayak out for the day and before long he hooked a blue tagged redfish. According to the post, Hain would be the fourth Blue Tag Division winner pending a polygraph. 

The next day, Hain caught a green tagged redfish. 

Registration for the tournament is still open. There are 10 boats, three trucks, four  Polaris Rangers and $295,000 in scholarships available for tournament winners. Sign up at www.startournament.org, calling 713-626-4222 or visiting the weigh stations.
