LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — 30 years ago, at the end of April, 1990, KLAS-TV began an 8 part investigative series about the weird world of UFO conspiracies. One of the featured interviews was with a polygraph expert named Terry Tavernetti, who conducted a test on UFO whistleblower Bob lazar.

Recently, George Knapp tracked down Tavernetti to see if his opinion has changed.

He's hitting back at rumours his test was tampered with or botched.

The operations manager continued: "But to be honest I'm done with this chapter. If she does one let me know and I'll do the same but otherwise I'm moving on," he concluded, adding a peace sign emoji. 

His decision to address rumours the results were tampered with comes after the woman he supposedly slept with spoke to a trained polygraph operator who suggested his results should remain inconclusive because he wasn't asked directly whether he had an affair. 

As we know, before undergoing the examination, Mikey wrote in a declaration: "I, Michael Pembroke do hereby declare that while at the Sky Suites apartments I had sexual intercourse with Stacey Hampton."

"If we were doing it we would ask the person directly, 'Did you have sexual intercourse with such and such?' We wouldn't get the examinee to sign a statement and then test him on what was written on the statement," the alleged polygraph expert told Stacey in a video she recorded and shared to social media. "That's one step removed and it's not addressing the issues, it's about the statement."

Stacey allegedly spoke to a trained polygraph tester.

Stacey reiterated and summarised what he'd told her, writing on her Instagram story: "The company I called explained that they saw footage of Mikey and said that is an incorrect way to do a polygraph test.

"You do not ask someone to write a statement then refer the questions to the statement. Rather, you simply ask direct questions. Anyone can say anything in statements. His polygraph test is not credible. Case closed. Don't ever mention any "M" word or name to me again. Unless it's money. LOL."

While the single mother of two is adamant she didn't sleep with Mikey and has continuously denied this accusation, her ex-husband Michael Goonan doesn't believe her. 

Speaking about the cheating scandal that tore them apart, a heartbroken Michael said yesterday that his TV wife was acting bizarrely before the final dinner party and was already covering her tracks before he was even confronted with news of her affair.

Michael was heartbroken when he discovered she'd cheated.

"Before we got to the dinner party, she goes, 'I think there's going to be a rumour coming out that I hooked up with Mikey - but we only went out for coffee.' I was wondering why she told me like that?" a perplexed Michael said on Married At First Sight's YouTube channel. 

"It didn't add up. And I was like, well, if it didn't happen, it didn't happen. Then it came out that she slept with Mikey and I thought I'd give her the benefit of the doubt."
