| Posted: 25 Feb 2020 12:00 AM PST  SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) – Megan Boswell, the mother of missing Evelyn, told News Channel 11 in a Facebook message that she was pregnant. Boswell said in that message that she could not take a polygraph test because she was pregnant. When we asked Sullivan County Sheriff's Office officials about a polygraph, they said they "do not use polygraph." TBI officials also told News Channel 11 in an e-mail that, "Megan Boswell was not scheduled to meet with a TBI polygraph examiner today." No other details were immediately available. Based on new information related to the disappearance of Evelyn Mae Boswell, authorities recently searched a home belonging to a family member of the toddler's mother, Megan Boswell, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. The human remains were discovered during the search and will be sent for an autopsy and positive identification, officials said. Megan Boswell was arrested in February on suspicion of giving investigators false information. "During the course of the investigation, Megan 'Maggie' Boswell provided detectives and agents with a number of conflicting statements," Sullivan County Sheriff's Office spokesman Capt. Andy Seabolt said in a statement.Evelyn Boswell was last seen in December and was reported missing weeks later by her grandfather. Megan Boswell previously told CNN affiliate WJHL she was pregnant and therefore unable to take a polygraph test.But the sheriff's office said it doesn't use polygraph tests."No one asked her to come take a polygraph examination," Seabolt said.In a statement to CNN, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokesman Josh Devine said Boswell wasn't scheduled to meet with a polygraph examiner from the bureau, either.Boswell had previously spoken to the affiliate after her daughter went missing, saying she had told authorities where to find Evelyn."My mom took her to a campground in a silver camper and if they don't go tonight, I'm going to go find her myself," she told the news station. When asked about the investigators' claims that she gave conflicting stories, she said she was trying to protect her mom.Boswell has sole custody of Evelyn while the baby's father is an active-duty military serviceman stationed in Louisiana, officials have said.The last time she saw her daughter was a little before Christmas, Boswell told the affiliate. She said her mom was going to babysit Evelyn because she had work.Angela Boswell — the baby's grandmother — was also arrested in North Carolina along with William McCloud. They were found traveling in a gray 2007 BMW authorities had previously said they were looking for because its occupants were believed to have information about the toddler's whereabouts.Angela Boswell and McCloud remain in custody in Wilkes County without bond and will be extradited back to Tennessee to face charges there, according to the Wilkes County Sheriff's Department.
