Correction: Russian Media Outlet Claims Short Kerch Strait Ramming Video Was not Edited - Polygraph.info

Image
Correction: After our story was published, Ruptly.tv contacted Polygraph.info via email, saying the TV media outlet “acquired and published without editing as received on November 25” a short version of the ramming video. Ruptly also said, it published the full version, “as soon as (Ruptly.tv) were able to obtain” it. Ruptly.tv is correct that the original fact check did not note the full video was published the next day, November 26. (Click here to watch it). However, we have confirmed the full version of the video was available on Sunday, November 24, the day before Ruply.tv published the abridged video. Several Russian state-owned TV channels broadcasted the full version of the video on November 25. That includes the state TV channel Rossiya-24 , with its flagship news show Vesti. We have no means to independently confirm that Ruptly.tv did not edit the first, shorter version, of the video, which is posted on its website and also put out on social media – the video we featur...

Juvenile Offenders Subjected to Polygraph Test - Komorebi Post

Image
When someone says “polygraph,” typically people think of an adult male with a strange black cord wrapped around his chest, and what looks like a blood pressure monitor clipped to his finger. He is answering yes or no questions for some guy staring at a beeping machine in a “Law & Order” style interrogation room. What people do not think of is a seven-year-old child sitting in that chair being asked the same questions. However, polygraph testing juvenile offenders is a common treatment method used in juvenile correction centers all over the United States. In 2001, a survey of 101 law enforcement polygraph examiners found that 74% of examiners had tested at least one juvenile offender under the age of 16. The youngest child reportedly tested was seven years of age . In 2017, Colorado Division of Criminal Justice reported that 361 juvenile sex offenders were required to take periodic polygraph tests as a part of their probation requirements in Colorado state alone. A polygrap...
